Welcome to the Leith Relief Office

A humanitarian initiative to support orphaned children in Al-Wafa village, south of the Gaza Strip.

In a scene reflecting the depth of human solidarity amidst the harsh conditions in the Gaza Strip, a heartwarming community initiative was implemented on Thursday, November 6, 2025, distributing fresh fruit to orphaned children at the Al-Wafa Orphanage in the southern Gaza Strip.

This humanitarian gesture was made possible through the generous support of the Khayrat Yardim Group and the Quloub Rahima – Ali Reza Group, as part of efforts aimed at strengthening the resilience of children who have witnessed the effects of war and lost a significant part of their safety and childhood.

They added that even a small moment of joy can have a profound impact on these children, as they need to feel cared for above all else.

The children’s faces beamed with joy as they received the fruit, their laughter spontaneous and their eyes sparkling.

The village square was filled with a fleeting but genuine energy, carrying with it the message that hope remains possible despite the harsh realities.

The village administration expressed its deep gratitude to the supporting organizations, especially the Laith Relief Team, emphasizing that such initiatives give children the feeling that society hasn’t forgotten them, and that there are those who extend a helping hand in their most difficult moments.

The supporters affirmed that this step is part of a series of humanitarian projects they plan to continue, aiming to reach as many affected children as possible and provide them with psychological and nutritional support amidst the current circumstances that have burdened families and institutions.

The project included distributing a variety of fruits that are popular and beneficial for children, namely bananas, apples, and oranges.

The selection of these fruits was not arbitrary; they combine high nutritional value with ease of consumption, in addition to their simple yet impactful role in bringing joy to children.

The project organizers explained that the initiative’s main objective is to improve the psychological well-being of orphaned children who have experienced war and lost many of the essential elements of a stable life.
