Gaza – Wednesday, October 28, 2025. In light of the difficult humanitarian conditions experienced by thousands of displaced people in the northern Gaza Strip, a new relief project was implemented to alleviate some of the daily suffering by distributing food and supply baskets to affected families in displacement camps.
The distribution covered two main areas:
- Sheikh Radwan
- Quqa camp
This project comes with the generous support of the Compassionate Hearts Group – Ali Reza, and a group of donors from Sheikh Abdul Rahman Pahlavi, along with the For Gaza Group, Group for Gaza, Khayrat Yardim Foundation, Al-Aqsa Adhan Group, and France Kardesh Eli.
The contents of the food baskets: The project organizers were keen to provide a variety of items to meet the needs of families in light of food insecurity in displacement areas. The basket included the following items:
- 2 kg of sugar
- 5 kg of rice
- 2 kg potatoes
- 2 kg onions
- 2 kg of zucchini
- 2 kg of oranges
- 2 kg avocados
These components ensure that families can prepare relatively complete meals, despite the severe shortage of basic necessities. This project is being implemented at a time when displacement camps are experiencing extremely difficult conditions, with families suffering from:
- Severe shortage of food and vegetables
- Lack of income for displaced families
- Health challenges due to malnutrition
- Severe overcrowding inside the camps
Therefore, these food baskets represented a necessary and vital support for families who struggle daily to secure food for their children. The parents expressed their deep gratitude to the supporting parties, stressing that receiving a complete food basket helped them cope with the difficult circumstances and provided them with a sense of reassurance, even if only temporarily.
The organizers emphasized that seeing the smiles on the faces of the children and mothers was the greatest motivation to continue these humanitarian initiatives. Supporters indicated that this initiative is not the last, and that there are plans to expand food and supply projects in the coming period to reach more displaced families throughout the Gaza Strip.
