Drinking Water & Water Infrastructure Program
The Water Supply Program aims to enhance water security and improve access for the people of Gaza to clean and safe drinking water, especially in areas suffering from extensive destruction of water infrastructure and acute resource shortages.
The program works on providing sustainable solutions that restore people’s basic right to water and alleviate the daily burdens on families struggling to secure their needs for potable water. Within this framework, the program has implemented a set of vital activities addressing the root causes of the water crisis:
Key Program Activities
- 1- Drilling water wells to secure a permanent source of clean water in underserved areas.
- 2- Water trucking services via tankers to ensure the continuous delivery of urgent water supplies to displaced families.
- 3- Establishing and operating desalination plants to provide potable water in light of the contamination of natural water sources.
- 4- Connecting wells and desalination plants to solar energy systems to ensure operational sustainability and reduce reliance on fuel.
Through these steps, the program contributes to building a more stable water system, enabling residents to obtain safe drinking water in a way that preserves their dignity and supports their resilience amidst harsh conditions.
By supporting the Water Supply and Infrastructure Program, you can contribute to providing clean and safe water for Gazan families and improving the living conditions of residents in affected areas.
